CIBI Nigeria Limited has a sister plant behind its granite processing plant that is also pioneering the production of granite cobblestone which when combined in various patterns turn a simple lane, pedestrian sidewalk or road paving into an innovative work of art. Stone cobbles are environmentally sound, not subject to weathering and serves as a a more durable alternative to conventional interlocking using concrete casted products.

Laying

Cobblestones are relatively easy to lay. As with all tiles a firm base is necessary , preferably concrete, and then the stones are laid in the desired pattern in a bed of mortar to required height. After the mortar bed has set, grouting of the joints can be carried out by pouring wet grout. Any cement remaining on the surface must be washed off with clean water before it sets
